Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Investment Department and Public Private Partnership Projects, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar has said that completion of the projects under PPP node with bring a new wave of development in the province.
He said, “Mirpurkhas dual carriage project, Sir Aga Khan Jhark-Mula Katyar Bridge project, Karachi-Thatta dual carriage project, Ghotki-Kandhkot Bridge and now M9 Link Road are under construction under Public Private Partnership Projects.
All these projects are the best projects of Sindh government. With the completion of these projects, the people of the province will feel a very significant and positive change.”
Syed Qasim Naveed stated this while presiding over a meeting of officers of Public Private Partnership Projects in his office on Saturday. The meeting was informed that Ghotki-Kandhkot Bridge project was being constructed at a cost of Rs. 14 billion and this is a 2 km four carriage bridge. 12.8 km approach road with bridge was being constructed on Ghotki side while 15.2 km road was also being constructed from Kandhkot side and it is strongly hoped that bridges and roads would be completed by July 2023. The construction of these roads will not only reduce the distances but also provide better opportunities for commercial development in the region.
Addressing the meeting, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Investment Department and Public Private Partnership Projects, urged the officers to use all their capabilities for timely completion of these projects and no lethargic attitude would be tolerated in this regard.
Qasim Naveed said that PPP believes in providing facilities to the people at their doorsteps and the construction of these roads and bridges will bring prosperity and employment opportunities in the region.
