PPP to stage protest against rising inflation: Marri

Central Information Secretary Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarians and Member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri said on Wednesday that Pakistan Peoples’ Party would stage a historic nationwide protest against the rising inflation, unemployment and anti-people policies of the ruling party on October 29.

She claimed that thousands of people would participate across the country in the anti-government protest on the instructions of their PPP Chairman Bilwal Bhutto Zardari and by this, would make it a historic demonstration.

This she said in a statement issued here yesterday. Marri said that poor people of the country were suffering because of worst inflation, unemployment and economic woes, but the incompetent government of PTI had failed to provide any relief to the people.

Marri uttered that PPP leadership had the ability only to uplift the country’s economy and to get out of their miserable economic woes and difficulties.

She further said that hundreds of employees of Zarai Taraqiati Bank limited were fired yesterday from their services by the ruling government amid worst inflation which was a very shameful and barbic act of this government.

She said that people should support the Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the upcoming general elections by their votes and he would never disappoint the people.

Marri alleged that false cases and trials were initiated against PPP leadership because they spoke for the rights of the common people while the incompetent and selected Prime Minister was only busy taking loans by mortgaging the country.
