PPP starts campaign for senate polls

The PPP has started considering bringing a candidate in Punjab and in this regard, Hassan Murtaza could be the PPP’s expected candidate for the Senate from Punjab. According to sources, the PPP leadership will make seat adjustment with the PML-N to win its candidate from Punjab, while Hassan Murtaza has started regular lobbying in the Punjab Assembly after receiving indications in this regard. According to sources, Hassan Murtaza sought votes from Speaker Pervaiz Elahi in a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Punjab Assembly. The seven-member PPP will need more than 41 members to elect a senator from Punjab.
