PPDWP okays more than Rs6b projects

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs6341.654 million.
These schemes were approved in the 17th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2020-21 presided over the Chairman P&D Board Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh. Provincial Secretary P&D Imran Sikandar Baloch, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments, Senior Chief (Coord) Javed Latif, Assistant Chief Coordination Shahid Idrees and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included as Establishment of University of Chakwal at the cost of Rs1,457.113 million, Establishment of Mother & Child Block, Teaching Hospital, D.G Khan at the cost of Rs3,849.108 million, Capacity Building of EPA Punjab for Enforcement of Environmental Standards in Punjab including Combined Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) and Industrial Estates (IEs) under J&C Program (Revised PC-II) at the cost of Rs226.133 million, Study Regarding Capacity Building of the DGPR Punjab to Counter Emerging Challenges of Electronic & Digital Media (PC-II) at the cost of Rs9.300 million and Establishment of High Dependency Isolation Units Across Punjab at the cost of Rs800.00 million.
