Posters have appeared in Srinagar, urging the G20 heads to put pressure on Modi-led Indian govern-ment to stop slow-motion massacre of people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and resolve the Kashmir dispute according to the United Nations resolutions.

According to Kashmir media service, the post-ers, displayed by pro-freedom organizations, including Resistance Youth Forum J&K, Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Movement, Resistance Youth Forum J&K, Jammu Kashmir Youth Movement, Jammu and Kashmir Justice and Peace Initiative and Nawjawanan-e-Hurriyet Jammu Kashmir, urged the UN to take notice of the violation of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination validated by the Security Council through its resolution passed on January 5, 1949.

The posters called upon the international com-munity to not shy away from its responsibility of settling the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people

The posters urged G20 members to realise In-dia’s ulterior motives behind holding the grouping’s meeting in IIOJK. The posters read: “Play role in release of all Kashmiri political detainees,” “India is using this international forum to legalise its brutal repression in Indian occupied Kashmir and peddle false narratives of normalcy in IIOJK”, “Jammu and Kashmir is under Indian military and police siege since August 2019”. The posters also said that India should stop making demographic changes in IIOJK, repeal all draconian laws, end human rights violations and withdraw its troops from the occupied territory. The G20 Summit is going to take place in New Delhi from September 9 to 10—KMS
