JamiatUlema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief MaulanaFazlurRehman expressed concerns over the political instability in Pakistan, stating that the current situation is preventing the country from establishing stable economic relations globally. Speaking to the business community in Karachi, he emphasized that even friendly nations are worried about Pakistan’s economy and are unsure how to help the country recover.

He lamented the lack of security for the Constitution, Parliament, and institutions, asserting that every institution is interfering with others, and this internal conflict is causing chaos. The event was also addressed by other prominent figures, including Maulana Abdul GhafoorHaideri, Allama Rashid MehmoodSoomro, and ZeeshanFatani. MaulanaFazlurRehman urged the country’s institutions to operate within their designated domains, stating that the only solution to Pakistan’s challenges lies in adhering to the Constitution and conducting free and fair elections. He highlighted that the business community is eager to increase the country’s exports, but peace and a strong economy are essential foundations for national development.

The JUI leader also pointed out the increasing insecurity among peaceful citizens, with the rise of armed groups and street crimes contributing to nationwide unrest. He stressed the need for human rights protection to create a prosperous economic environment, criticizing the state for failing to control criminal activities, which forces people to take matters into their own hands. FazlurRehman reiterated that the 2018 elections were rigged and described the current government as a product of the establishment. He called for transparent elections, particularly in Balochistan, where he claimed that the true representatives of the people are not present.

Furthermore, he urged the government to reduce its focus on personal and political interests and prioritize the needs of the country and its people. He cautioned against undermining the judiciary or infringing on basic public rights, warning that such actions would be detrimental to the nation’s future.
