Police officer kept whole family in illegal confinement for ransom in Reasi


Moral decline among Indian forces’ personnel in occupied Jammu and Kashmir is evident from the heinous act of a police officer of deputy superinten-dent rank involving in abduction of a whole family for ransom in the Arnas area of Reasi district.

The news about illegal confinement came to limelight after an order was issued for inquiry against the police officer by the Home Department.

“Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal, ADGP, is hereby ap-pointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct an inquiry into the charges framed against the deputy superinten-dent…” reads an order.

The Inquiry Officer has been asked to complete the enquiry and submit his report along with rec-ommendations to the Home Department within a period of thirty days, the order maintained.—KMS
