The Pakistan Muslim League-N on Saturday strongly reacted to the Supreme Court verdict in the Cipher Case, especially the remarks of “innocent” involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Malik Ahmed Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb and Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha addressed the press conferences and criticized the top court judge remarks in which Imran Khan was called “innocent”.
Malik Ahmad Khan said that while they respected the judiciary, questions arose when a judicial decision was limited to bail.
He mentioned that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had levelled allegations against a country, and the court ruled that the Official Secrets Act did not apply to this matter.
“Blaming such a country with which we have strong bilateral ties is a matter of serious concerns,” said the PML-N leader.
On other hand, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that earlier in 2018 he [Imran Khan was imposed as the favourite , and now he was being projected as “innocent”.
“It can’t be done,” said Marriyum Aurangzeb while addressing the press conference at the party’s secretariat in Lahore on Saturday.
The former federal minister said that the ‘favorite’ was earlier imposed by using the RTS system, he was brought into power after stealing the mandate and when no-confidence was brought against him, he violated the Constitution. “Bringing no-trust-motion is not a conspiracy,” she said. Marriyum said that the cipher was waived publicly, and in the closed room, it was decided that the politics would be done on the basis of the cipher.
“You would be held accountable for committing treason with the country,” she added.
The PML-N leader said, “the person who led to violation of the constitution is being called “innocent”. You set the schools, hospitals and Jinnah House at fire and you are still innocent? Whether the person who did foreign funding was innocent? The man behind the May 9 incident was innocent?,”.
She also said, “A person who is behind the May 9 incidents is welcomed by “Good to See you,”. Marriyum also questioned by saying, “You waive the envelope of 190 million pounds and you are still innocent?,”.
Mohsin Ranjha expressed concerns over the remarks, saying that “Sometime is said Good to See you, sometime is heard ‘good luck’ and now is being said ‘innocent’,”.
“A man who has been disqualified and is involved in corruption is being called innocent,” said Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha.
Ranjha pointed out that even someone accused of stealing a clock was receiving a certificate of honesty and integrity. He emphasized that the process of awarding certificates to those lacking competence has been ongoing for a considerable period.
Ranjha raised alarm over remarks about Imran Khan in which he was called “innocent,” asserting that “he represents a significant threat to national security,”.
He went on to argue that the issuance of a single certificate of honesty and integrity has had detrimental consequences for the entire nation.
