Pakistan Muslim League-N and the Pakistan People’s Party, along with their allies, on Thursday continued their deliberations upon formation of the governments in Punjab and Centre.
“The second session of joint meeting of both parties’ coordination committees concluded,” said the sources. The sessions, according to the sources, took place in Islamabad. They said, “the session was quite successful”.
However, the representatives of both the committee would meet on today to share the points of views of their leadership.
“After the second session, the both sides’ representatives were asked to consult their main leadership,” said the sources.
Key figures including Senator Ishaq Dar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan represented the PML-N and the Pakistan People’s Party was represented by Syed Murad Ali Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Saeed Ghani, Sardar Bahadur Khan Sehar, Nadeem Afzal Chan, and Shazia Khan.
According to the sources, during the meeting the PPP clarified that they would bring their own candidates for the president, chairman Senate, and speaker positions.
“It is the policy of the PML-N whether it introduces the candidates or not,” they added while quoting the PPP leaders.
The both sides, however, emphasized upon the strong political cooperation to form the governments.
