ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a reshuffling within the federal bureaucracy, including the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Engineering Development Board (EDB).
Hamad Ali Mansoor has been appointed as the CEO of the EDB on a three-year contract in the MP-1 scale. His appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the board, which plays a vital role in the country’s engineering development.
In addition to this, the government has made transfers of four senior officials from the Pakistan Administrative Service, all in Grade 19. These officers have been assigned to the Punjab Government.
The officials include:
Sajjad Ahmed, Deputy Secretary of the Finance Division
Kashif Hussain, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs
Muhammad Tariq Masood Farooqa, Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce
Jafar Ali Khan, currently stationed at the Civil Services Academy Lahore.
Other notable appointments include Fahad Ahmed, who has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Rustam Khan, who will serve as Section Officer at the Petroleum Division.
In another key move, Faheem Ullah, previously a lecturer at the Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been transferred to the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) as Assistant Director for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Region.
Dr. Hafiz Rana Khalil-ur-Rehman, who was serving as Senior Medical Officer in the Punjab Health Department, has now been appointed as Deputy Director at the Ministry of National Health.
Furthermore, the tenure of Muhammad Ayaz, a Grade 18 officer at the Prime Minister’s Office from the OMG group, has been extended for another year.
Lastly, Mohammad Ismail Iqbal, a Grade 20 officer from the Secretariat Group, has been placed as an OSD (Officer on Special Duty), pending further assignments.
