ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan will reshuffle his cabinet within two weeks in a bid to strengthen the ruling coalition as the opposition has announced to table a no-trust motion in parliament against the premier.
Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced the plan while talking to a local media outlet, adding that significant changes will be made in the cabinet.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has given a call to launch a march against the government while the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of opposition parties, vows to table a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly.
The opposition parties have paced up their efforts to topple the government, which is already facing criticism due to rising inflation and economic crises.
A report claimed that the premier would appoint five ministers of state in the ministries of defense, planning, education, energy and overseas Pakistanis in order include leaders from coalition parties, — the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) – in the cabinet.
