ISLAMABAD – With new adjustment in petroleum prices, OGRA brings little relief for petrol users while making high-speed diesel more expensive.
According to a notification, the price of petrol has been slashed by Rs0.94 per litre, bringing the new price down to Rs324.98 per litre. However, the relief comes alongside an increase in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD), which has been raised by Rs0.54 per litre. The new diesel price now stands at Rs382.79 per litre.

The revised prices will come into effect from August 13, 2026, following the government’s latest notification. Officials said the adjustment was made after considering crude oil prices in the international market, along with other relevant factors affecting petroleum prices.
While petrol consumers will get a marginal reduction at fuel stations, diesel users will have to bear a higher cost, potentially adding to transportation and logistics expenses.
