The federal government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs3.13 per litre while increasing the rate of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.74 per litre.
The revised prices will be applicable from Saturday, September 5, 2026.
The Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division said in a notification that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s pricing mechanism.
Following the adjustment, the price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has fallen from Rs349.00 to Rs345.87 per litre, reflecting a reduction of Rs3.13.
Meanwhile, the price of HSD has been raised from Rs374.31 to Rs378.05 per litre, marking an increase of Rs3.74.
The revised rates will remain applicable until Monday, September 7, as the government continues to adjust petroleum prices in response to movements in international oil prices and other relevant cost considerations.
The latest adjustment follows the previous review, when petrol prices were increased by Rs2.84 per litre and diesel prices by Rs2.28 per litre.
