Maryam to visit London
Members of the Provincial Assembly from Sargodha met CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz. Those who called on the chief minister included Provincial Minister Sohaib Ahmad Malik, Mansoor Azam, Mian Sultan Ranjha, Ikram-ul-Haq, Safdar Hussain Sahi, Rana Munawar Hussain, Taimur Ali Khan and Sardar Asim Sher Maken.
The MPAs paid tribute to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for the establishment and record-time completion of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in Sargodha. They also expressed their gratitude to her for launching the electric bus service in Sargodha.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced provision of seven more electric buses for Sargodha and directed the lawmakers to closely monitor the Model Village, Suthra Punjab Programme and clean drinking water projects.
The meeting also reviewed proposals and recommendations aimed at accelerating the pace of ongoing development projects. The MPAs briefed the chief minister on the positive feedback received from the public regarding various development initiatives.
She said that every city, including Sargodha, had been put on the path of development and all available resources were being utilised for public facilitation.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will arrive in London today on a private visit, sources said.
According to sources, Maryam Nawaz will stay in London for three days and attend her daughter’s graduation ceremony.
Sources said the Punjab chief minister will not hold any political meetings during her visit. She will also attend a family wedding ceremony.
