ISLAMABAD – Petrol and Diesel prices have been revised, with HSD jumping higher by Rs6 per litre for second half of this month.

Earlier, Market sources have revealed that high-speed diesel may witness an astonishing jump of Rs9.50 per litre, driven by powerful international market forces. If the government approves this surge, diesel could soar to Rs288.40 per litre, a level that would impact everything from goods transport to agriculture.

While diesel climbs dramatically, petrol is expected to edge down by Rs1.96 per litre starting November 16. Industry estimates suggest the revised petrol price may settle at Rs263.49 per litre—a tiny reduction compared to the heavy increases elsewhere.

Furthermore, Kerosene oil may increase by Rs8.82 per litre. Light diesel oil, a key fuel for small industries could jump by Rs7.15 per litre, mirroring global supply disruptions and rising international prices.

OGRA sent its detailed summary to the federal government, citing the impact of global market trends and the rupee’s fluctuations. Once the prime minister approves the recommendations, the Finance Ministry will issue the official notification, and new prices will take effect immediately, sending ripple effects across the economy.

In last price review, Petrol price was increased by Rs1.35, reaching Rs248.38 per litre. High-speed diesel increased by Rs3.85, hitting Rs255.14 per litre.
