PESHAWAR – Around 10,000 students have failed in Islamic Studies subject in the 2026 matriculation examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar.
The BISE Peshawar annual examination results for 2026 have been announced, revealing significant differences in student performance across subjects.
According to the examination results, Islamic Studies subject recorded the highest number of failures among students of both Grade 9 and Grade 10.
The results have drawn attention to the performance of students in the subject, with approximately 10,000 candidates reportedly unable to meet the required passing criteria.
In Grade 9, a total of 97,950 students appeared for the annual examinations. Of these, 57,847 students were promoted to Grade 10, according to the results.
The figures show that a considerable number of students faced difficulties in meeting the academic requirements for promotion.
The announcement of the Peshawar Board matric results has prompted renewed interest among students and parents in subject-wise performance and overall pass rates.
The students who appeared in the BISE Peshawar matric examinations can check their individual results through the board’s official result system using their roll numbers and other required details.
