A middle intensity explosion in the outskirts of the provincial metropolis on Thursday resulted in the killing of at least one person and serious injuries to three others of which the condition of one wounded person has been described as precarious.
Reports said the blast took place near a hotel on the Ring Road in the outskirts of Peshawar. The explosive device as the police believe was planted in a Motor Cycle parked at a workshop. The workshop and the adjacent shops as well as buildings sustained damages.
One person succumbed to his injuries while three others sustained serious wounds and were shifted to hospital by the rescue teams where the condition of one victim was stated to be precarious. Bomb disposal unit said in a statement that a 200-gram magnet improvised explosive device was used in the explosion.
