The sharp jump marks a significant acceleration from Saturday’s modest increase of Rs300 per tola, signaling renewed bullish sentiment in the precious metals market. The latest rally comes as investors worldwide continue to seek safe-haven assets amid global economic uncertainty.

International gold prices surged by $40 per ounce to $4,093, including a $20 premium, providing the main catalyst for the spike in Pakistan’s local market. Domestic gold prices typically move in line with global bullion rates and are also influenced by fluctuations in the rupee-dollar exchange rate.

Silver joined the rally as well, gaining Rs100 per tola to reach a record Rs6,397, its highest-ever level in Pakistan. The simultaneous rise in both gold and silver underscores sustained demand for precious metals as investors look for protection against global market volatility.
