Gold prices staged comeback in Pakistan as the precious metal regained momentum in the local market, following gains in international bullion rates. After witnessing a massive drop a day earlier, gold once again moved upward, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs300 per tola to hit Rs427,736.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs257, reaching Rs366,714.

The latest jump came after a turbulent week for the bullion market, as gold prices had plunged by Rs4,600 per tola on Friday, bringing the rate down to Rs427,436.
The rally was also reflected in global markets, where gold prices edged up by $3 to reach $4,053 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver failed to follow gold’s upward trend, with its price declining by Rs12 per tola to Rs6,297.
