ISLAMABAD – A heart-wrenching video emerged from the high seas, showing Pakistani sailors held hostage by Somali pirates for 57 days, desperately pleading for help as conditions aboard the hijacked vessel continue to deteriorate.
Pakistani Second Officer aboard the vessel Owner 25 shared an emotional message, narrating the horrifying ordeal faced by the crew since they were taken captive nearly two months ago. According to the officer, the hostages are trapped in a daily struggle between life and death, with several crew members suffering from serious illnesses and receiving no meaningful assistance.
“We have been held captive for 57 days. Our condition is extremely critical,” the officer said in the video. “Several crew members are severely ill. Some are suffering from diabetes and infections, and they can no longer endure these circumstances.”

In a desperate appeal to Pakistan’s leadership, he called upon the Field Marshal and the Prime Minister to intervene immediately.
“Today, life has become harder than death for us,” he said. “We are surviving only on plain white rice and contaminated water. The company has not sent us any aid, and we are running out of hope.”
The officer also revealed that the hijackers refuse to negotiate through any third party and are willing to communicate only with the company listed in the ship’s official documents. “The government must step in and compel the company to take responsibility for its crew,” he urged. “We are facing unimaginable hardships just to stay alive.”
The clip is being shared online, raising concerns about hostages, who reportedly have limited access to food, medicine, and clean drinking water. The crew’s worsening health condition and allegations of neglect by the company have intensified calls for urgent intervention.
