RAWALPINDI – Security forces have eliminated 23 terrorists belonging to India proxy “Fitna Al Khwarij” in two separate engagements in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 19.
On reported presence of Khwarij, a targeted operation was conducted by the Security Forces. During the conduct of operation, our troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, twelve were killed, ISPR said in a press release on Thursday.
“Capitalising on intelligence with respect to presence of another group of khwarij, in same general area, in another intelligence based operation, own troops successfully neutralized eleven more khwarij,” read the statement.
It added that sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area as relentless counterterrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for various successful operations against terrorists in Kurram district.
Shahbaz Sharif praised the security forces for killing 23 terrorists in these operations and said that under the vision of determination and stability, the security forces are achieving great successes against terrorism.
The premier said that the entire nation stands with Pakistan’s forces in this war against terrorism.
