Sadia Ahmed, a visionary Pakistani educationist and deep-tech strategist, has made international headlines by securing significant global investments and recognition for her blockchain-powered education platform, CurricChain.
In Fall 2024, Sadia was selected for the highly competitive Draper University x Stellar Residency Program in Silicon Valley. This elite three-month accelerator awarded her $50,000 to build and scale her AI-driven decentralised learning platform.
CurricChain, developed under Sadia’s leadership, is designed to empower educators and learners to co-create personalised, skills-based curricula secured by blockchain and governed by decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs). The platform integrates real-time AI insights to ensure relevance, adaptability, and market alignment—especially for learners in underserved communities across South Asia and Africa.
From Vision to Victory: Winning at DraperU Demo Day
The DraperU residency, backed by legendary venture capitalist Tim Draper and supported by the Stellar Development Foundation, positioned Sadia among the top frontier tech founders shaping the future of learning. “DraperU was a turning point,” she shared. “It gave me the resources and global network to translate vision into action—and to prove that deep-tech solutions in education can come from the Global South.” “Pitching to Tim Draper and presenting the vision of CurricChain was a defining moment,” Sadia reflects. “It reinforced my belief that educators from Pakistan can lead innovation on a global scale.”
Building on this momentum, Sadia was also awarded 42,000 ADA through the Cardano Catalyst accelerator—further solidifying her credibility in the blockchain innovation space. CurricChain’s waitlist has already crossed 10,000 users ahead of its public launch.
Before founding CurricChain, Sadia served as Strategic Education Executive Lead at The Citizens Foundation (TCF), where she designed and led one of Pakistan’s most significant teacher training initiatives. TCF’s network of 2,000+ schools and 300,000+ students served as a critical testbed for her work in integrating digital literacy, STEM training, and future-ready teaching frameworks into mainstream classrooms.
Her trajectory—from launching education reforms in Pakistan to pitching blockchain-based learning ecosystems in Silicon Valley—has garnered praise from global leaders. Tim Draper called her “a global force in education and innovation.” At the same time, Sal Khan, founder of Khan Academy, described her work as “deeply aligned with our mission to make high-quality education accessible to all.”
