KARACHI – The Pakistani passport continues to remain among the worst passports in the world.
In the Henley Passport Index 2024, the green passport ranks dropped to 101st as its holders enjoy visa-free access to 34 nations. Only Syrian, Iraqi, and Afghan passports are worse than Pakistan’s passports.
Surprisingly, passports of Palestine, Yemen, Somalia, Nepal, North Korea, Libya, Kosovo, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have been ranked above Pakistan in this year’s Ranking.
Pakistani passport has not witnessed any major improvement in its global ranking, remaining the fourth worst for the past several years.
The Index 2024 curated by Henley & Partners was shared this week covers 227 destinations and 199 passports.
Best Passports in the world
Singapore and Japan continue to have world most powerful passports, as people from these countries have access to most countries.
France, Germany, Spain, and Finland remained the countries with the strongest passports. Other top countries include South Korea, Sweden, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom, Greece, Malta, Switzerland, Australia, Czechia, New Zealand, Poland Canada, Hungary, United States, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Iceland.

Worst Passports 2024
War-torn Afghanistan remains among the worst passports in the world with people from landlocked nations enjoying visa-free entry to 28 countries. Syria, Pakistan, and Iraq remained the other worst countries.
