Pakistan Passport Climbs Two Spots In Global Ranking

ISLAMABAD – The Directorate General of Immigration and Passport is working on the launch of new passport booklet with updated design and security features.

DG I&P Muhammad Ali Rindhava visited the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (PSPC) and reviewed passport production and security measures.

During the visit, discussions were held on finalizing the design and printing specifications of the new passport booklet. The meeting also considered the incorporation of advanced security features into the new booklet.

A proposal to introduce modern security technology in the polycarbonate data page/card was also discussed.

Officials also reviewed a roadmap for the phased issuance and launch of the new passport booklet.

DG Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Rindhava stressed that strong supply chain management was essential to ensure the uninterrupted availability of passports.

He called on all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and cooperation, emphasizing that protecting the sanctity, integrity and security of Pakistani passports was a fundamental priority.

Rindhava said passport security was a continuous process and that adopting the latest security technologies was essential.

The Immigration and Passports Department and PSPC reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening passport security and the production system.
