KARACHI – DIG South Asad Raza has ordered an inquiry into a dispute between two women at a residential building in Defence’s Khayaban-e-Bukhari area after videos of the altercation went viral on social media.
The DIG South said the inquiry will examine the circumstances surrounding the registration of the case as well as the facts of the incident. SSP Investigation South Touheedur Rehman has been tasked with conducting the investigation.
Police sources said the case challan has not yet been submitted, while sections relating to snatching and theft have reportedly been removed from the case.
Police officials said that if any bias or irregularity is established in the registration of the case, action will be taken against those responsible, including any police personnel found involved.

A viral video shows a woman wearing red shirt and carrying an iron dumbbell as she engages in altercation with a residents of the same building, identified as a sister and brother. Police officials can also be seen trying to control the situation.

Meanwhile, another video linked to the dispute has emerged. The footage reportedly shows a woman identified as Noor-ul-Ain in an injured and frightened condition following the altercation.
In the video, the woman says she suffered bleeding from her nose and mouth, had her hair pulled and sustained an injury near her eye.
The inquiry is expected to determine the circumstances of the confrontation.
