Pakistan security forces kill 13 Khawarij in two KP IBOs: ISPR

Pakistan’s security forces have killed 13 terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Sunday.

According to the military’s media wing, an IBO was conducted in the Mohmand district on the reported presence of the Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists.

“During the conduct of operation, our troops effectively engaged the khawarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, seven khawarij were sent to hell,” the statement reads.

In another IBO conducted in the Bannu district, the security forces eliminated six terrorists. Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country, the ISPR stated.

Since the Taliban grabbed power in Afghanistan, terrorist attacks have been on the rise in Pakistan, particularly in the KP and Balochistan.

Pakistan has repeatedly demanded that the Taliban regime prevent its soil from being used by terrorists against Pakistan. The issue recently caused heightened tensions between the two states. Cross-border attacks by the Afghanistan side resulted in retaliation from Pakistani forces.
