ISLAMABAD – President Asif Zardari invited Bahraini investors to explore opportunities in high-potential sectors including food security, I.T, and tourism.
Speaking to Bahraini Ambassador Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed Abdul Qader in Islamabad, Zardari stressed Islamabad’s eagerness to deepen trade and investment ties, calling for stronger bilateral economic collaboration.

President also praised Pakistani diaspora in Bahrain, discussing their role in supporting South Asian nation through remittances and contributing significantly to Bahrain’s economy. He thanked the Kingdom for extending opportunities to over 100,000 Pakistanis and for the King’s generous pardon of Pakistani prisoners.
Zardari underlined strong cultural and religious bonds between the two nations, noting that the warm reception of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his recent visit reflects “the depth of fraternal relations” between Pakistan and Bahrain.
He also welcomed the Bahraini leadership’s planned visit to Pakistan and congratulated Bahrain on its election to the UN Security Council for 2026–2027, expressing gratitude for its support following recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
