Faisal Zahid Malik lauds Naval forces readiness to face the Indian Navy

Commander Coast of the Pakistan Navy (COMCOAST), Rear Admiral Faisal Amin HI (M), has reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces, under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah, are fully prepared to respond to any external aggression with strength and clarity.
Citing Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs as a decisive response to attempted Indian incursions, he said Pakistan has made it clear that while it desires peace, it will never compromise on national security.
Rear Admiral Faisal Amin stressed that maritime defense remains a vital pillar of Pakistan’s strategic priorities.
He noted that protecting the coastline—from Sir Creek in the east to Jiwani in the west—requires coordinated vigilance, involving both civilian and military institutions.
Addressing the broader security outlook, he emphasized the growing importance of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) as a tool to protect sea lines of communication and safeguard the uninterrupted flow of maritime trade—Pakistan’s economic lifeline.
In a meeting with Pakistan Observer Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Faisal Zahid Malik and Executive Editor Ebraheem Faisal Malik, Rear Admiral Faisal Amin discussed the evolving role of the Pakistan Navy in regional security and the strategic protection of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), particularly around Gwadar Port.
The Commander Coast, Pakistan Navy highlighted joint maritime efforts with Chinese counterparts to ensure the safety of key sea lanes vital for regional connectivity and trade.
He praised the Coastal Command’s achievements across operational, administrative, and welfare domains over the past year, reinforcing the Navy’s capability to undertake high-intensity operations.
Rear Admiral Faisal Amin also called for full participation in upcoming drills like Sea Guard II, stating that exercises of this nature strengthen operational readiness and regional deterrence.
The meeting also addressed the Navy’s ongoing social and environmental initiatives.
Rear Admiral Amin highlighted the work of the Sahil Welfare Association—founded in 2014 as a not-for-profit entity under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance—to uplift coastal communities spread across more than 1,000 kilometers.
The association, a subsidiary of the Bahria Foundation, works to improve the quality of life of underprivileged coastal populations, reinforcing the Navy’s commitment to public welfare alongside its defense mission.
Discussions further explored opportunities for media collaboration in areas such as defense awareness campaigns, youth engagement, and editorial initiatives focusing on maritime security, the Blue Economy, fisheries, port development, and environmental protection.
Rear Admiral Amin acknowledged the role of media in shaping national perception, promoting unity, and building a soft image of the armed forces.
Climate resilience and ocean cleanliness were also highlighted as growing areas of naval involvement, with Rear Admiral Amin expressing continued support for joint work with the Ministry of Climate Change.
He welcomed proposals for joint seminars, cultural events, sports programs, and co-branded forums to promote national cohesion and maritime stewardship.
At the end of the meeting, Rear Admiral Faisal Amin HI (M) presented commemorative memento to Faisal Zahid Malik recognizing Pakistan Observer’s contributions to defense journalism and its longstanding support for national priorities.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deeper civil-military collaboration through responsible media engagement, strategic alignment, and public awareness efforts aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s maritime resilience.
