The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released seven players from the national Test squad following the conclusion of the Lord’s Test against England.
Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar and Khurram Shahzad have been withdrawn from the squad, with seven players called up as replacements ahead of the third Test in Birmingham.
The new additions comprise five players yet to make their Test debuts and two who have already represented Pakistan in the longest format.
Among the returning Test players are Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal, who have featured in eight and two Tests respectively. Left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder Arafat Minhas, meanwhile, has four T20I and three ODI appearances for Pakistan.
The uncapped additions include left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Imran Jnr, wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig, who was named Player of the Tournament in the 2025-26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, as well as right-arm pace-bowling all-rounders Mohammad Imran, also known as Imran Randhawa, and Razaullah.
All seven replacements will link up with the Pakistan squad before the third Test against England.
The PCB has also made changes to the support staff. Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul have been released, with Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke set to take their places in the backroom team.
