ISLAMABAD — Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Akamatsu Shuichi extended warm felicitations to the Government and people of Pakistan on the country’s 79th Independence Day, reaffirming Japan’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding partnership between the two nations.

In a special video message, Ambassador Akamatsu conveyed the greetings of Japan’s government and people and highlighted the enduring friendship that has continued to bring the two countries closer.
The ambassador also looked ahead to a significant milestone in bilateral relations — the 75th anniversary of Japan-Pakistan diplomatic relations in 2027. He said Japan would continue working with Pakistan as a trusted partner to advance shared objectives of peace, progress and stability.
The message underscored Tokyo’s continued interest in deepening friendly relations with Islamabad and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Concluding on a warm note, Ambassador Akamatsu reaffirmed the spirit of bilateral friendship with the message: “Japan-Pakistan Dosti Zindabad.”
