ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Religious Affairs has changed the date for receiving the applications for Hajj 2027 under government and private schemes.
Applicants will be able to submit their applications and required payments online or through designated bank branches from August 18 instead of today (August 17).
Under the policy, only pilgrims who are already registered will be eligible to apply for the government Hajj scheme.
The Hajj expenses under the government scheme will be collected in two equal installments.
Applications for the government scheme will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and the ministry will stop accepting applications once the allocated quota is filled.
A quota of 107,526 pilgrims has been allocated for the government Hajj scheme, while 71,684 pilgrims, or 40 percent of the total quota, have been allocated to the private Hajj scheme.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has finalised the application and payment mechanism for Hajj 2027.
First installment date
The minister said collection of the first installment will begin on August 17, 2026. Pilgrims will be required to deposit half of the cost of their selected Hajj package as the first payment.
Applicants will be able to submit applications and make payments from home through the Pak Hajj app and digital portal.
The minister said around 400,000 pre-registered pilgrims have entered the final stage of the application process. The digital system is intended to reduce queues, unnecessary travel and additional expenses for pilgrims.
40-day Hajj package cost
The 40-day long Hajj package has been set at Rs1.2 million under the government Hajj scheme.
