The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, in collaboration with the YunusEmre Institute and the Pakistan National Council of the Arts(PNCA), successfully organized the “Pak–Türk Friendship Week” to celebrate the enduring friendship and cultural partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.
The event featured captivating cultural performances, including traditional music and folk art, showcasing the rich heritage and shared cultural values of both nations. A beautifully designed stage backdrop displayed the logos of the collaborating organizations — the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, YunusEmre Institute, and PNCA — along with portraits of the leaders of Pakistan and Turkiye, symbolizing the deep and historic friendship between the two brotherly countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. IrfanNeziroğlu, said it was a great honor and privilege to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkiye alongside the people of Pakistan. He extended heartfelt thanks to the honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, for his gracious support and participation in the celebrations. He added that the strong bonds of friendship, trust, and mutual respect between Pakistan and Turkiye have always remained unshakable.
Recalling the solidarity shown by the people of the Subcontinent during the difficult times of the First World War, Dr. Neziroğlu acknowledged the moral and financial support extended to the Ottoman Empire by figures such as Allama Muhammad Iqbal — a gesture remembered with deep gratitude by the Turkish people.
Mr. HuzaifaRehman, Minister of State / Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, expressed his great pleasure in joining the celebration of Turkey’s 102nd Republic Day. He highlighted that the occasion marks not only Turkiye’s remarkable journey of progress and resilience but also the deep-rooted and everlasting friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye — two nations united by faith, brotherhood, and shared history.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, Mr. Rehman extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of Turkiye on this historic milestone. He emphasized that the Pakistan–Turkiye relationship transcends diplomacy — it is a bond of hearts, strengthened through mutual respect, cultural affinity, and unwavering solidarity in every era of challenge and triumph.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from both sides to further enhance cooperation in culture, education, and youth development. Participants reaffirmed that the Pak–Türk friendship will continue to flourish and serve as a model of unity, respect, and shared progress for generations to come.
