TANK – Major blow to Indian-backed militancy, Pakistan’s Security Forces carried out precision intelligence-driven mission in Tank District, targeting Khwarij linked to Indian proxies, ISPR said.
The operation turned intense as our troops engaged multiple militant hideouts. After a fierce exchange of fire, eight Indian-sponsored Khwarij were successfully neutralized.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the eliminated militants, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist attacks against security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians.
Authorities confirmed that a thorough clearance operation is underway to hunt down any remaining foreign-backed militants in the area. This action forms part of the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
Security officials emphasized that Pakistan’s forces remain committed to eliminating the menace of externally supported terrorism and will continue to strike decisively against threats to national security.
