ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Air Force made has been honored for excellence in aviation and presentation as JF-17 Thunder and C-130 Hercules highlighted Pakistan’s aerospace prowess at Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025.
ISPR said PAF secured two prestigious awards at one of world’s largest and most respected military air shows RIAT annually in United Kingdom.
Competing alongside world’s top air forces, PAF stood out for both its professional excellence and the exceptional presentation of its aircraft. During Air Chiefs’ Conference at RIAT, global military leaders praised Pakistan’s contingent for its discipline, technical capabilities, and eye-catching aircraft livery.
In a historic first, JF-17 Thunder Block-III makes its debut at airshow, and was awarded coveted Spirit of the Meet Trophy. This rare honor is reserved for aircraft that best represent values, energy, and excitement of RIAT. The award serves as international recognition of the JF-17 program’s growing technological sophistication and operational strength.
Adding to accolades, PAF’s C-130H Hercules painted in striking livery based on the theme “Eyes in the Skies”, won the “Concours d’Elegance” Trophy. This award is presented to the most aesthetically impressive and well-maintained aircraft on display.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu lauded PAF contingent on their outstanding performance. He stated, “Upholding the national flag with pride and professionalism is a core value of the Pakistan Air Force. These awards reflect our commitment to excellence, innovation, and representing Pakistan with honor on the world stage.”
