ISLAMABAD – Pakistani airlines are gearing up to fly to UK once again after five year ban, that opened new opportunities for aviation industry.
As British authorities officially ended its ban on Pakistan-based carriers, Airblue is also plannignt to relaunch direct flights to Manchester, and London.
The second largest air carrier from Pakistan has already filed for flight clearance with UK Civil Aviation Authority, eyeing grand comeback with direct Islamabad–Manchester flights as early as August.
Not to be outdone, national airline Pakistan International Airlines PIA is also making bold strides, seeking approval to restart its UK operations with plans to deploy its wide-body Boeing 777s for three weekly flights to Manchester.
The decision to remove Pakistan from UK’s aviation safety blacklist sent waves of excitement through aviation circles, international travelers, and the Pakistani diaspora in Britain, many of whom have waited years for the return of hassle-free, direct travel.
The re-entry of AirBlue could transform travel dynamics and restore global confidence in Pakistan’s skies. All eyes are now on British regulators for the final green light, and the countdown to takeoff has officially started.
