President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Senior Most Minister of State, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has said that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) gave a befitting response to Indian intervention on February 27, 2019 in defence of the national frontiers, setting a history which would be remembered forever by Indian army and government.
In a statement issued here he said, after destroying Indian plane and arrest of pilot Abhinandan, Prime Minister Imran Khan, under Geneva Convention and following international rules, handed over the nabbed pilot to Indian government acknowledging the global community to play its due role in resolution of Kashmir dispute. He said that Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace should not be considered as its frailty.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said that Indian Air Force besides violating Pakistan’s airspace had also violated the international rules for which strict reaction was vital and the way PAF responded was prideful for entire national. He said that the detained Indian pilot himself admitted of going within AJK limits but could not return back.
The Senior Minister made it clear that Pakistani nation was satisfied with role of its armed forces for security and defence of country and stands shoulder to shoulder with its army. The enemies of Pakistan are also aware of the fact that Pakistani nation and army are on same page, therefore, no one can even dare to trouble the country.
He said that armed forces of Pakistan have always expressed their professional capabilities in best possible way and PAF’s stringent reaction to Indian intervention on February 27, 2019 was its proof and India Air Force will never dare to turn to Pakistan again.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas also hailed the role of PAF during 1965 and 1971 wars rendering heavy losses to the rivals and expressed his hope that PAF would continue to defend the national frontiers with same commitment and courage.
