Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Altaf Shakoor, condeming the dominance of feudal elite in the country, especially Sindh province, here Friday said the oppressed and suppressed people of Pakistan need to wage yet another ‘independence war’ to liberate them from the local ‘black British Raj’ rulers.
Addressing a crowded press conference at the Malir Press Club, flanked by PDP Minorities Wing president Vero Kolhi, the mother of slain Tania Khaskheli, Khursheed Khaskheli; Sheerin Jokhio, the widow of slain Nazim Jokhio, and Afzal Jokhio, the brother of Nazim Jokhio, he said Sindh has been made virtually a killing field for the poor people by the ruling Wadera government of the PPP. He said though Pakistan is said to be an independent country, but the poor masses, especially the Sindhi masses, still live in the slavery of corrupt and cruel Waderas.
They have to wage yet another war to get them liberated from the clutches of this Raj of dark-skinned Britishers, locally called ‘Kala Angrez’. He said it is heartening to see that the oppressed masses are now gathering under the banner of the PDP to start a practical struggle against this Wadera Raj in Sindh. He said to liberate the poor masses from the oppressors is the mission of Pasban. He asked the Sindh government to muzzle the cruel Waderas who are killing innocent people.
He asked CM Murad Ali Shah to set at leaat one example of justice and rule of law in his province. He said the brave people of Sindh like Vero Kolhi, Ume Rubab, Sheerin Jokhio and Afzal Jokhio are leading the war of the oppressed masses of Sindh against the ruling junta of Waderas.
