Omar Ayub Khan, PTI’s nominee for PM office, secures bail from PHC

PESHAWAR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan, the nominee for Prime Minister office , appeared the Peshawar High Court (PHC) and secured bail in different cases registered against him in the different cities.

PHC Chief Justice Ibrahim Khan passed the order on the plea of the PTI leader and ordered him to submit surety bond worth Rs100,000.

The court also directed Omar Ayub to appear before the relevant courts within a month. The Chief Justice observed that Omar Ayub secured bail and he should not be arrested in any case.

Babar Awan said that justice is served at the Peshawar High Court, to which the Chief Justice said that they provided the justice as per the law.

Earlier Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, nominated  Omar Ayub Khan, as a candidate for Prime Minister office in the ongoing efforts for formation of the government.

Asad Qaiser, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, who met with Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, informed journalists that during the meeting, Imran Khan said, “Omar Ayub will be our candidate for the Prime Minister’s office,”.

Imran Khan’s supported independent candidates, however, won 92 out of 264 seats. Thus, forming the largest political group in the federal parliament. The PTI founder, however, rejected the possibilities of an alliance with any one of the three major political parties emerging after the recent elections.
