Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat meanwhile, warned although Covid-19 cases WERE decreasing yet experts feared a spike soon.
“It is therefore very important that all positive cases r tracked, their contacts tested and then quarantined,” said the Deputy Commissioner in a tweet on Sunday adding, “I am thankful to ICT Police for their massive support in maintaining home quarantines.”
According to the District health officer (DHO) of Islamabad, Dr Zaeem Zia a total of 32 individuals came out positive out of 2,873 tests run in the last 24-hours.
This is quite a significant achievement and “Pakistan is seeing the infection rate curving flat, however, there is a fear of the second wave looming,” said Dr Zaeem Zia. He requested the citizens to act responsibly by foregoing large gatherings and other public events.
