LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced new cash reward for franchises for upcoming edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026.
Naqvi shared the news via X, highlighting the significant cash incentives aimed at fostering competition and encouraging cricket development across Pakistan.
The newly introduced rewards are as follows:
Champions: $500,000 (Approximately Rs140 million)
Runners-up: $300,000 (Approx Rs84 million)
Best Franchise Contributing to Cricket Development: $200,000 (Approx Rs56 million)
This initiative is designed not only to celebrate the top-performing teams but also to recognize the franchises that play a key role in promoting and developing cricket at the grassroots level.
Naqvi expressed his enthusiasm for the move, saying, “Let’s take Pakistan cricket to new heights!” With the PSL’s increasing popularity both locally and internationally, this reward system is expected to further elevate the competition and inspire franchises to contribute to the growth of the sport.
The new reward structure is seen as a positive step towards enhancing the league’s impact on Pakistan’s cricketing landscape, providing both financial incentives and recognition for teams making valuable contributions off the field.
