New advisory issued for children’s B-Form, Juvenile card and NICOP

Nadra Tightens B Form Process With These Mandatory Requirements Full Details Here

ISLAMABAD – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an advisory for parents who are seeking to apply for Child Registration Certificate (CRC), commonly known as the B-Form, NICOP or Juvenile Card for their children aged below 18 years.

In the advisory shared by NADRA on Facebook, it said the parents should ensure that their marital status is correctly recorded in NADRA records and is not shown as “unmarried.”

Keeping parents’ marital status updated in the NADRA database is important for maintaining accurate and secure identity and legal records of children.

It also helps establish the child’s identity and relationship with parents or a legal guardian.

Under Rule 18 of the NADRA (NIC) Rules, 2002, every Pakistani citizen below the age of 18 is eligible for registration with NADRA and can obtain a CRC or Juvenile Card.

The CRC and Juvenile Card serve as initial identity documents for children and provide proof of their identity and relationship with their parents or legal guardian.

According to the requirements, the child’s presence is mandatory for CRC applications for children above three years of age. For children up to three years old, their presence is required only when the CRC is being processed for passport issuance purposes.

Applicants are required to provide a computerized Birth Registration Certificate issued by the Union Council, Municipal Committee or Cantonment for births registered in Pakistan. For births abroad, a Detailed Birth Certificate or S-1 Form is required.

CRC Fee Update

The stated fee for a normal CRC application is PKR 50, with a processing time of seven days. An urgent CRC costs PKR 500 and has a stated processing time of one day.
