ISLAMABAD – The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Saturday issued a dense fog alert for several districts of Punjab, warning that poor visibility is likely to persist over the next three days.
The NDMA said that the areas in southern and central Punjab are expected to be most affected. Districts including Lahore, Jhang, Multan, Khanewal, Mian Channu, and Sahiwal may experience dense fog while similar conditions are also forecast for Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran and Vehari.

The authority further stated that foggy conditions are likely in parts of upper Sindh, particularly in and around Sukkur. Islamabad may also experience fog during the night and early morning hours.
The NDMA has advised motorists to exercise extreme caution while travelling, use fog lights where necessary, and avoid unnecessary journeys during low visibility. The relevant departments have been directed to remain alert and take precautionary measures to minimise any potential risks.
