According to NADRA, parents must first ensure that both the father and mother’s Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) are active and valid, as expired identity cards can create hurdles in the issuance of a B-Form.
The authority also urged applicants to carefully verify all personal information before submitting their application. This includes names of both parents, the husband or wife’s name, CNIC numbers, and other essential details. Any discrepancy in these records may lead to delays or complications during processing.
NADRA made it clear that the marital status of both parents must be correctly updated in its database. If either parent’s record still shows them as unmarried, the B-Form application may not proceed smoothly until the information is corrected.
Another key requirement highlighted by the authority is the registration of the child’s birth with the relevant Union Council. NADRA said a properly registered birth record with complete and accurate information is mandatory before a B-Form can be issued.
The federal authority said children above the age of three must be physically present when applying for a B-Form, as their photograph and fingerprints will be captured during the registration process.
NADRA advised citizens that B-Form applications can be submitted either by visiting a NADRA Registration Centre or through the Pak ID mobile application.
