NADRA launches online marriage registration for citizens in union councils

Karachi To Get 24 7 New Passport Counters At These Nadra Mega Centers

ISLAMABAD – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new facility allowing residents of certain union councils to register their marriages online from the comfort of their homes.

The registration authority said the service has been launched on a limited scale to make accessing government services more convenient for citizens.

The registration process can be completed through the Pak ID mobile app, after which users can download their marriage registration certificate directly into the app’s ID wallet.

Currently, this facility is available in three districts of Punjab: Chakwal, Jhelum, and Nankana Sahib.

Residents of 71 union councils in Chakwal, 44 in Jhelum, and 65 in Nankana Sahib can now access the service from home. NADRA has confirmed that the service will be gradually expanded to cover all of Pakistan in the near future.

This initiative is part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to digitize public services and enhance convenience for citizens.
