Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday said that Muslim Ummah cannot afford any internal confrontation.
She took to twitter to say that Pakistan desires promotion of friendly relations amongst the Muslim countries.
Speaking on PM’s recent visit to Iran, she said that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has welcomed Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace and harmony. She added that this shows the level of trust that exists between the leadership of both the countries.
Dr. Firdous said that Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Iran reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations with Tehran in different fields including economy and trade.
She further said that PM also apprised Iranian leadership on the deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir and expressed his gratitude to Iran for extending support to Kashmiri people.
