ISLAMABAD – The Punjab government has officially launched a metro bus service for Murree, aimed at improving transport facilities for tourists traveling to the popular hill station.
Officials said the service is designed to provide a convenient and comfortable travel option for tourists heading to Murree, one of Pakistan’s most visited hill destinations.
The route connects key entry points and main tourist locations along the Murree corridor.
Murree Green Bus Service Timetable
According to details, the service operates daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm, offering fully air-conditioned travel for passengers.
Fare
The fare has been set at Rs30, making it an affordable option for visitors and local commuters.
Murree Green Bus Route and Stops
The new bus route includes 20 designated stops, starting from Satra Meel and passing through Phulgaran, Salkhetar, Manga, Samli, Bastal Mor, Upper Samli, Khajut, TDCP Hotel, Lakot, Awan, Malach, Mussiari, Aloch Mor, Bara Hotel Sign Board, Lower Topa, New Murree Road, Upper Topa, Jhika Gali, and ending at Murree Bus Stand.
Murree attracts an estimated several million tourists annually, particularly during the summer season and winter snowfall period, when visitor numbers surge significantly. The introduction of the metro bus service is expected to ease traffic pressure and improve accessibility for both day-trippers and long-stay visitors.
The government described the project as part of efforts to modernize public transport and enhance the overall travel experience for people visiting the hill station.
