Chief Minister SindhSyed Murad Ali Shah has said that it is not appropriate for NAB to summon the chief executive of any province. Talking to the media here on Friday, he said that NAB should have gone to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar and questioned him in-person. He said this while visiting Karachi during the current spell of monsoon rains in the city. The CM said that he was aware of the encroachments on all canals of Karachi, which were created before PPP came into power. He said that most of the encroachments on the city’s drains have done so with proper permission. He acknowledged that there were illegal petrol pumps, shops and houses encroaching on the drains and announced that mists of all such violations will be made public. The CM said that Sindh government is trying to control the situation with provincial ministers surveying Karachi’s streets, the media should also highlight our positive steps. Murad Ali Shah said that a meeting has been convened on Saturday regarding opening of businesses in the province. He warned that coronavirus still poses a threat but testing has been decreased by the federal government.
