Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has issued directives in response to a cyclone alert from the Meteorological Department and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). According to the forecast, several districts in the province are expected to experience heavy rainfall. The Chief Minister has instructed all departments, especially the administration and municipal bodies, to remain vigilant and fully prepared.
He emphasized that all necessary preparations should be in place to handle any emergency situation that may arise. Shah also directed the Health Department to improve arrangements in all hospitals across the province, ensuring that hospital administrations guarantee the attendance of their staff during this period. In light of the unusual sea conditions, the Chief Minister has ordered the Fisheries Department to issue guidelines to fishermen. Additionally, he directed the Irrigation Department to continuously monitor the embankments of rivers, canals, and other waterways to prevent any potential hazards.
