“This activity is a series of events for the Milad of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) which falls on July 26, also in the context of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence on August 18, 2024,” said Mustari in Makassar.

He said that the MIF activity which will be held from July 31 – August 26, 2024 in the Center Point of Indonesia (CPI) area is different from other activities. In addition to the very long duration, it will also be filled with various activities such as MSME product exhibitions, talk shows, workshops, and so on.

In this activity initiated by the MUI and Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi, at least seven national figures and public figures will be present, including Hafizah Angelina Sondakh who has also become a Muballighah, the celebrity couple who have preached Dimas Seto and Dini Aminarti, Inara Rusli and “Pesulap Merah”.

“In addition, the Minister of Trade has also confirmed that he will attend MIF 2024 at CPI on August 10, 2024, as well as provide assistance to MSMEs,” he said.

Therefore, MSME actors in Makassar City and its surroundings are asked to take advantage of this valuable moment by filling 180 exhibition stands that have been prepared by the committee.

Meanwhile, Economic Observer from Hasanuddin University, Prof. Muhammad Asdar, appreciated the idea of MUI and Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi who collaborated to encourage the strengthening of the people’s economy.

“We strongly support this activity, because we are aware that even though there are the largest number of Muslims, in terms of economy, many are still lagging behind.—Antara
