Visibility on national highways has dropped drastically to 50–80 meters, making driving extremely hazardous. Officials stress that these closures are intended to protect lives and property. Ignoring lane discipline in these conditions could lead to serious, life-threatening accidents.
Motorists are strongly advised to follow lane rules and plan travel during daylight hours. Safe travel times in fog are 10 AM to 6 PM, and drivers are required to use fog lights at all times.
Authorities urge all road users to exercise extreme caution, prioritize safety, and avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve.
